On June 22nd, Steve LaRose assumed head coach responsibilities for the Auburn Doubledays. His experience and demeanor will help guide the team through the end of the season.
The Doubledays are 12-7 for season with a full schedule of games through July. The Lenoir Rhyne University Junior of North Carolina, Fernando Espinal is leading the Doubledays in batting at .447 average and RBIs with 15. He is a
PGCBL veteran and All-Star, formerly playing for the Newark Pilots. He also won a Gold Glove with Cayuga C.C. before transferring to Lenoir Rhyne. During his All-Star 2022 season with Newark, Fernando hit .323 with 18 stolen bases. His major at Lenoir Rhyne is Criminal Justice.
