The Auburn Doubledays are partnering with Coffee Plus as their coffee vendor for all home games for the 2022 baseball season - but they're serving more than just coffee at Falcon Park.
Coffee Plus is a start-up, not-for-profit organization that teaches workforce readiness to underserved populations through the operation of a coffee table at live events within our community. Following a curriculum developed in conjunction with multiple local agencies, the Coffee Plus program teaches individuals how to communicate effectively, how to present themselves properly, how to be responsible in a work environment, how to follow instructions, how to work both independently and in group settings, how to solve problems, and finally how to find and interview for a job. The first Coffee Plus program is scheduled for this fall with the goal of training 15-20 individuals and integrating them successfully into the local workforce.
Coffee Plus will be operating a coffee table at home games serving both hot and cold coffee products all season long. The coffee will be brewed fresh on-site using coffee beans from a well-known local roaster. Along with refreshments, whole and ground beans will also be available for purchase, and all sales go towards the operation of the Coffee Plus workforce readiness program.
